Should I keep bottled wine in a wine cooler or in a dry place to store it?
I'm thinking of getting a wine rack for my basement or in a wine cooler. However, it is bad for the wine cool for long periods of time if you do not plan to open anytime soon? Or is that no matter anyway?
A wine cooler, simply save the wine at a constant temperature and humidity - I follow my kitchen about 17 degrees. Wine should be kept in a humid place to prevent the cork from drying out and contaminate the wine. With white wines no matter whether you chill them for a while, but their flavors will not develop years. If it does cool the wine, then take it out of cold storage until you drink that, as some wines are a white mist - it does not really affect the taste, but not looks nice.
